Codyceps Milataris
Cordyceps is a fungus that has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries to treat a variety of conditions, including:
- Fatigue: Cordyceps is said to help reduce fatigue and boost energy levels.
- Kidney function: Cordyceps is believed to improve kidney function.
- Liver health: Cordyceps has been used to treat liver disease in humans for thousands of years.
- Sexual dysfunction: Cordyceps is sometimes called "Himalayan Viagra" because it's believed to improve sexual performance.
- Heart health: Cordyceps may help maintain healthy cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
- Inflammation: Cordyceps may reduce inflammation in the airways and skin.
- Immune response: Cordyceps may stimulate the immune response.
- Cough: Cordyceps is used to treat cough.
- Hyposexuality: Cordyceps is used to treat hyposexuality.
- Asthenia: Cordyceps is used to treat asthenia after severe illness.
- Renal failure: Cordyceps is used to treat renal failure.
However, research supporting the effectiveness of cordyceps remains mixed. For example, some studies have shown no benefit in well-trained athletes, even after long periods of supplementation.
Cordyceps may increase the risk of bleeding when taken with blood thinners, such as warfarin (Coumadin® and Jantoven®).
